Awesome film!

This is such a great film to see. I was skeptical about seeing this at first but i’m glad I did watch it. There is a lot of great information in this documentary. It’s interesting to hear thoughts and beliefs from other faiths. I enjoyed every part of this film, i’m sure you will too!

Faithful, Smart, Insightful, Important

This is a gem of a documentary. It is intelligent, sensitive, and it has something important to say. And this is an important video. The ending was surprising and thoroughly delightful. Without pontificating or condescending to anyone, the message sneaks up and envelops you.
Just a treasure of a viewing experience. A must see.

Thought provoking

I just finished watching the movie with my wife (and on conference weekend no less). Wow, it was great! I have to say the movie channeled my Mormon childhood. All of the talk about being a persecuted people and the inspired origins of the country and constitution were spot on. While I wanted to punch half of the people during the interviews, I thought that the movie did a great job of bringing the viewer to feel the need to find common ground and human friendship at the end. Well done!

Who bought our freedom?

I originally viewed the film under a different title which contained my favorite scene. It has since been omitted. However, that scene is available for free on the film site:

usandthemdocumentary.com/UAT/Movie_Clips.html,

That scene reiterated for me personally that my freedom is bought by Americans with divers religious backgrounds, not a homogeny of one predominating belief.

Having been in the armed forces all my life, it is therefore no small point to me that I signed up specifically to defend all beliefs that are allowed to practice in America, not just my own. Therefore, more than my own beliefs themselves, I believe all men should be allowed to worship according to their own will.

This film teaches me not only are all Americans my brothers and sisters in the above sense, but also that I therefore must not only respect the beliefs of all others, but sometimes adopt or even convert when I truly find holy envy in another’s ways.

Looks Fantastic

This movie is going to be very enlightening. I think it will help members of different faiths engage and converse with one another and actually behave like the Good Samaritan. The trailer is fantastic and I can’t wait to watch it.

Two Thumbs Up! Way Up!

This show is amazing. I’m so glad Deseret Book had the courage to take it on. This is not for the faint of heart though. Whether you’re a Christian or a Mormon be prepared to get serious about hearing what the other side has to say when you watch this film.

Oh and you can see the trailer for the film at usandthemdocumentary.com. Anyone know why it’s not posted here?
